I qualified as a Counsellor over 10 years ago and work integratively, meaning I tailor my approach relevant to the client’s specific need.

I am also a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT), which offers a model of counselling commonly used by the NHS/CAMHS. This way of working helps you understand how powerful your thoughts are – ‘we are what we think’. It also helps you to learn to be more self-aware and to manage your thinking more effectively.
In addition, I also offer Nature Therapy, which is a way of supporting you outside the counselling room. Many studies show that being outside, in nature is very therapeutic in itself. We can use the beautiful grounds at Middle Aston House and the surrounding area for this. Based on individual needs, a combination of nature therapy and the use of the counselling room may be a good fit.

I also volunteer for a local mental health charity called Tribus, providing group support for people who are struggling with a variety of issues including addiction, isolation, abuse and bereavement.

Alongside my private practice, I work as a Secondary School Counsellor. I am as passionate about this work as I am about my private practice. I strongly believe that supporting young people’s mental health is essential to help them build resilience and confidence, feel happier and get the most out of their education.

About therapy

I take a very holistic approach to mental health and aim to support you with all aspects of your life. I have experience of working with a variety of people of many different levels of need, who come from a variety of backgrounds, cultures and ages.

Whatever your personal reason for considering therapy, I have found that above all, my clients past and present, have wanted to achieve the same thing - to feel better about themselves and become more able to cope with what life brings.

I am here to help you to see things from a different perspective and walk alongside you, helping you to work through difficult times. My aim is to support you and give you the tools and coping strategies to feel better equipped to handle your emotions and situations both confidently, and with clarity.

I work with children (aged 12 upwards), adolescents and adults.

I recommend an initial consultation, where I explain how I work and go through the counselling contract with you. Sessions are 50 minutes. I charge my normal rate for this session (see below).

Fees

The number of sessions is totally up to you as the client, and I work on a short, medium and long term basis. I work face to face or online, via Zoom or Skype.

I charge £60 per session, I except cash or bank transfers, I require payment on the day of each session, unless by prior agreement.

I offer concessionary rate for those on assisted income.
